Annette Heaton is a seasoned advertising sales executive with over two decades of experience in the industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, with minors in English, History, and Psychology from the prestigious University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Annette also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Oklahoma Christian University to enhance her business acumen. Her father's mantra, "Work hard and be happy," continues to be her source of strength throughout her career.

Annette began her career in advertising as a "sales rep with a phonebook." However, thanks to her patience and diligence, she learned the ropes of the media buying and selling business. She then earned an opportunity to work for Cox Media, where she has spent most of her career. Annette is currently the Vice President, Media Sales, Digital Media, Cable Television, Integrated Marketing Solutions, responsible for building sales teams, generating profitable outcomes, and serving business customers in Omaha, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

As a leader, Annette values agility and adaptability, which have been critical to her longevity. She is excellent at developing and executing business plans, viewing the business strategically, communicating why they do what they do, and leveraging analytics to revenue-building projects. However, her purpose is about people, creating a culture where every team member can succeed by removing obstacles and providing one-on-one support.

Annette previously served as the Vice President & General Manager, Media Sales and an Account Executive at Professional Media & Studios. She is approachable and prioritizes diversity and transparency in her work ethos, ensuring that Cox Media's local business customers receive a unique and delightful experience.
