Charged with developing multi-pronged member benefits and marketing strategy during 4-6 month special assignment, including establishment of an inbound-outbound call center and integration of member benefit offerings and data systems to enable optimal target marketing to members. Turned into permanent position encompassing all member benefits, organizing, membership, data and political operations.

Taught “Journalism 200: Newswriting and Reporting I.” Covered introductory level news writing and reporting techniques with an emphasis on practical application and experiential learning, including interviewing skills, news judgment and media ethics.

Adjunct Journalism Instructor

In addition to all Web Administrator duties, integrated a print/mail shop with Web operations to create an efficient mix of organizational communication vehicles. Developed relationships with clients across MEA to aid in selection of appropriate communication vehicle(s) for specific projects. Made strategic, staffing and equipment changes to bring print operations into the 21st Century. Other duties include prioritization of Content Delivery workload, analysis of departmental accounting and workflow procedures (the first year of which led to corrections of more than $100,000 in discrepancies and errors), and implementation of an aggressive e-mail newsletter strategy to supplement MEA Web sites and printed publications. Supervise nine employees across Web, print, e-mail and hard-copy mail distribution mediums.

Content Delivery Supervisor

Primary responsibility for MEA Web presence, including design, development, maintenance and future planning for content, visual look and technology aspects of MEA Web products targeted at both internal and external audiences. Responsibilities included training local association Webmasters, supervising two employees, tracking budgets and developing overall organizational Web strategy.
