Barry Parkin

Barry Parkin is an accomplished professional with an impressive career that spans over several decades, during which he has held multiple leadership roles at Mars, a multinational food company. He started his career at Dunlop where he was an Engineering Sponsorship. He went on to spend several years at Mars, where he assumed roles including Business Development Manager, Engineering Manager, Procurement Director for Packaging, Raw Materials, and media and services, Vice President of Procurement, Vice President of HR for Europe, and Vice President of Operations.

Parkin holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. In recent years, he has been instrumental in Mars' sustainability efforts, and implemented comprehensive sustainability initiatives. Parkin has been recognized for his work on climate change and sustainability, and he regularly gives talks at conferences and events. He currently serves as the Chief Procurement and Sustainability Officer at Mars, where he oversees the entire procurement process across all of Mars' key sectors.
