George Hagstrom
George Hagstrom is a highly qualified physicist with experience in various aspects of the field. His educational background includes a BS in Physics from Caltech and a PhD from The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied under Phil Morrison. Hagstrom has worked in a variety of research areas, including artificial life, fluid mechanics, finite-difference methods, plasma physics, and Hamiltonian systems, among others. Currently, his research focuses on classical field theories and their implications for the universe. Hagstrom has held multiple roles, including Courant Instructor at New York University, Assistant Research Scientist at the Courant Institute, and GFD Fellow at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, to name a few. With expertise in mathematics and theoretical physics, he has a particular interest in plasma physics, Hamiltonian systems, classical field theories, and analysis.
