Ruihua Wang is a dual-qualified lawyer with vast commercial experiences in China and the UK. After studying her undergraduate degree in Chinese Law at Fudan University, she completed her Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School and went on to complete her Bar Professional Training Course at the Nottingham Trent University, earning a 2:1 in both degrees. Following that, she was admitted to the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and trained at Linklaters, a renowned international law firm, where she worked for 6 years as an Associate.
Post-training, Ruihua has gained extensive in-house experience in legal departments of top financial institutions such as HSBC, RBS, Citibank, and Tradeweb as a Secondee/Legal Counsel. In her current role, she is a Senior In-house lawyer at Tradeweb, where she practices in a range of areas, ranging from banking, debt capital markets, derivatives, corporate trust and loan agency to clearing, trading rules, and financial regulation.
Aside from her legal career, Ruihua is passionate about promoting communication and collaboration between legal and cultural practices in the UK and China, as displayed by her role as a Committee Member at the UK Society of Chinese Lawyers. She also dedicates her time to empowering legal professionals and law students from ethnic minority backgrounds in the Ethnic Minority Lawyers Division of the Law Society of England and Wales. Ruihua is also interested in property investment and enjoys connecting with people who share similar interests in this field. As a native Mandarin speaker, she provides value to clients who require legal advice in both Mandarin and English.
