Theodore Tanner Jr.
Ted Tanner is a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Agent-Based Systems, and Blockchain. With a career spanning more than two decades, Ted has held several senior positions at major corporations, including Apple and Microsoft. His most recent venture is PokitDok, a healthcare platform that he co-founded and served as CTO until its successful acquisition by Change Health in 2018.
Ted's educational background includes a degree in Electrical and Signal Processing from the University of Miami, Audio Engineering from Full Sail University, and EE and Computer Science from DeVry Institute of Technology. He has also published numerous articles on various technical topics and holds patents in areas such as blockchain, semantics, and signal processing.
In addition to being a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Ted serves on several advisory boards, including the University of South Carolina Computer Science Department's IAB and the Clemson University Restoration Institute Executive Advisory Board for the Zucker Family Graduate Education Center. He is also passionate about people management, adaptability, creativity, and persuasion.
