Rachel Hungerford is a highly empathetic and inquisitive UX researcher with a focus on consumer-facing research. She specializes in web, mobile, TV, and physical spaces, with experience in both UX research and design. Rachel studied Master of Science in Information Management at the University of Washington with a focus on user-centered design and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Media Arts: Interactive Media from Emerson College.

Rachel's UX research methodologies include user interviews, longitudinal studies, observation, remote research, international research, usability testing, expert/heuristic evaluation, and agile/RITE testing. She is also experienced in setting up usability labs, coaching team members about user-centered design, and evangelizing research across organizations.

Rachel has worked as a Senior Design Research Lead at Microsoft, Senior UX Researcher at Amazon, UX Designer & Researcher at Starbucks, Freelance Mobile UI/UX Designer at Hauben Media, User Experience Researcher and Designer at T-Mobile, User Experience Intern at T-Mobile, and as a Usability Engineer Graduate Assistant at the University of Washington Libraries. She is also skilled in mobile (Android, iOS, mobile web) and web (responsive) user-centered design.
