I started this business to offer a competitive product to existing git analytics platforms, but for a fraction of the cost. There is a lot of background processing involved and main technologies used include Rails, Sidekiq, and Postgres.

Full-Stack Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails/Ember.js/Node.js

I work closely with a team of 12 engineers, 2 designers, and 2 product managers to build and maintain the creator marketplace at <a href="http://popularpays.com/">http://popularpays.com/</a>.  My main roles includes writing code for and architecting our backend services (Rails/Node.js) as well as our front end applications in Ember.js and Swift. I've tech lead various projects on the engineering team while coordinating with product managers and designers to build features and solve various technical problems.

High quality, well tested code is important at our company and we ship often. Deploying our various services/applications several times a day is the norm and we monitor everything to ensure we are delivering a top-notch product to our brands/agencies/creators.

I also get the honor of serving in a coaching role on the team where I meet regularly with 5 of our engineers through 1 on 1s as an advocate in their career and growth within the company.

Software Engineer

I worked on the Finance Engineering Developers(FED) team as a backend Software Engineer. The team was responsible for the building of an accounting system/ledger for Groupon to get clearer insight into cash flow. The teams applications mostly relied on asynchronous data processing and integrated with various 3rd party systems like Salesforce, Netsuite, Great Plains. FED's main system, Accounting Service, processes hundreds of millions of dollars every month through the invoicing/merchant payments system.

The largest project I worked on was upgrading our distributed workflow processing service, named "Backbeat", to use Postgres and migrate away from MongoDB. Our largest table was over 2 billion rows. Alongside the data migration we upgraded various parts of the stack including the jruby sintara api, ruby client and clojure client. As part of this I also wrote an integration testing application using docker that integration tested 2 separate services automatically in c.i. I worked as a Software Development Engineer Intern in the Seattle area. The team I was on created the Bing Food and Drink app that is pre-installed with Windows 8. One project that I worked on was to expand the social reach of the Bing Food and Drink app by allowing content to be shared to Facebook, Twitter, and other social platforms. This included client side development in javascript, backend development with big data movement in C#, and web development in C#.
