Griffin Gaffney is a dedicated individual with a mission to revitalize local news business models and improve city operations.

Having started his journey in 2017 by assisting individuals experiencing homelessness in securing jobs at tech firms, Griffin realized the need for widespread civic engagement and better city management.

With a robust background in small, rapidly growing tech companies, Griffin has held key roles such as leading account management at Humu and being a founding member of Stripe's sales team.

His professional experience spans diverse regions including Korea, Silicon Valley, and sub-Saharan Africa, working across a spectrum of organizations from large corporations to startups and schools.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Griffin actively engages in volunteering, music, and running marathons, supporting causes like combatting homelessness through organizations like Back on My Feet.

His educational background includes a B.A. in Social Studies with an Honors Thesis from Harvard University.

Currently, Griffin serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of The San Francisco Standard, building on his previous roles at organizations like TogetherSF, Humu, and Stripe.
