Warrick Godfrey is an accomplished marketing professional with extensive experience in growing startups in emerging markets. He has specialized in mobile applications, retail, ecommerce, and driving growth over the past 15 years. Godfrey is currently serving as the VP of Industry Solutions at Braze, a platform that helps businesses engage with their customers in today's mobile-first world.

Godfrey started his career at ConsumerBase, where he worked on email marketing. Later, he became the head of marketing and co-founder of Cobone, one of the fastest-growing ecommerce ventures in the MENA region. At Cobone, he led marketing, PR, CRM, platform and brand strategy. He also served as CMO at Namshi.com and Director of Marketing at Fetchr, a delivery app in the Middle East.

In 2013, Godfrey joined Facebook to bring the platform's presence to Sub-Saharan Africa where he looked after the retail, media, and ecommerce portfolio. This work was instrumental in launching Facebook's regional office in South Africa. Later, in 2014, he became the CMO of Namshi, where he led the marketing function and directed the overall direction of the brand and marketing efforts. Subsequently, he joined Souq.com as Senior Regional Marketing Director before the company was acquired by Amazon in 2017.

Godfrey holds a degree in Marketing from the Google Adwords and Google Analytics programs and studied GAP at The Open University. He is also a former Digital Marketing Institute Lecturer and worked as an SEO and Technical Account Manager at Bigmouthmedia.
