Melissa Cullens is a design professional with an impressive 15 years of experience connecting behavior, emotion, and mindset with innovative experiences. With expertise in behavioral research, experience design, product strategy, and brand vision, she has a sense for what makes people tick, individually and as a community, using those insights to reimagine what a business can become.

Melissa studied at the University of Georgia Cortona before attending Pope High School and going on to earn her Master's Certificate in Graphic Design at The Portfolio Center. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Art and Business Administration from Furman University.

Melissa has an impressive list of organizations where she has honed her expertise, including as a former Chief Experience Officer, Chief Design Officer, and VP Product Design at Ellevest and as a Design Director at Librify. She has also held positions at Code and Theory, SYPartners, Smart Design, Son & Sons, Armchair Media, and Career Sports & Entertainment.

As the founder and CEO of Charette, Melissa brings her wealth of experience to lead and build teams. Her past experience includes leading the reinvention of Vogue.com, designing IRL experiences for IBM, and some of the earliest iterations of AmericanExpress.com. Recently, Melissa was a founding member of Ellevest, where she defined and designed the award-winning product experience, brand, and team as the company scaled.
