Devin Hibbard

Devin Hibbard is a dedicated social entrepreneur with the vision of eradicating extreme poverty by empowering women across the world. Her focus is on the creation of micro-businesses, and she founded Street Business School, an entrepreneurial training program that has helped women living in poverty increase their daily income to $4.19 from $1.35 through small businesses. Her program also includes a social franchise scaling model, and it is currently active in several African countries. Devin's expertise and dedication to social entrepreneurship, women's economic empowerment, and micro-business creation have made her a sought-after speaker, thought leader, mentor, and teacher. She believes that the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs could revolutionize the fight against global poverty, and she has seen firsthand what can happen when women are empowered as business owners.

Devin's work has been featured in several prestigious publications and media outlets, including O Magazine, Vanity Fair, the Today Show, Nick Kristof's New York Times column, and Lehrer News Hour. Prior to starting Street Business School, she co-founded and served as CEO of BeadforLife, a nonprofit organization that helps women living in poverty earn income through the production of handmade paper jewelry. Her work has benefited thousands of women and inspired hundreds of other organizations.

Devin holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She serves on the Board of Directors of InterAction, a United States-based alliance organization of more than 180 international NGOs working around the world.
