The Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) is the trade association for the video industry and ecosystem in Asia Pacific. It serves to make the TV, Online TV (OTT) and video industry stronger and healthier through promoting the common interests of its members.  Brightcove is an enthusiastic member of the association, investing in the growth of the video industry in the region.

I consider myself lucky to represent Brightcove in this role as Board Director as well as take a non-partisan role in helping to guide the video industry in Asia through incredibly disruptive times.

On client solutions delivery, I evaluated technology partners and suppliers.  Regularly called on to educate management on marketing technology trends.  The technology catalyst team was originally limited to agency engagement solutions such as reporting and operational tools, but became more and more client marketing solutions focused.

Utilising my international media business knowledge, I project managed the development of a multi -million dollar initiative, central to the running of the world-wide agency network.  In a hands-on role in a lean team, liaising with stakeholders, users and clients from new joiner to board level, I ensured the successful adoption and utilisation of multi-market media planning and reporting software.

Working in a pivotal role within the radio station sales team, I scheduled the advertising output of the largest commercial radio station in the UK.  Ensuring the maximum return from the inventory of the station, while giving advertisers and listeners the best product possible.  Helped a dynamic organisation embrace digitisation across all departments.
Achieved an excellent working relationship with internal departments and pro-actively ensured liaison with external agencies was as efficient as possible. With Radio being a constant underachiever in media spend share I developed a strong understanding of cross media planning to help build solutions that diverted spend from other channels.

- Having established the fully digital Traffic function, I developed the procedures, which were continually honed as the station’s requirements changed and to prevent any operational issues reoccurring.
