Dallas-based Derrick Wright is a dynamic and multifaceted individual with a diverse background as an educator, pastor, coach, entrepreneur, community leader, licensed insurance agent, and networker. He is also recognized as a motivational speaker and life coach with a passion for helping people reach their God-given purpose and achieve total wellness in spirit, mind, soul, and body.

Derrick holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Divinity/Ministry from Southern Methodist University, where he also pursued his Masters of Divinity in Theology/Business. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services with a focus on Marketing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Derrick's professional experience spans across teaching positions, insurance sales, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles across various churches in the North Texas Conference and united Methodist Church. He has worked as a Marketing teacher, Hospitality, Tourism, Sports, Entertainment, and Hotel Management, and served as an Alternative Certification Program Academy/Business Marketing at Dallas Independent School District. Derrick worked as a General Agent/Benefits Counselor at American Income Life/The Roland Agency, where he was named top salesman and recognized as one of the top 40 salesmen in the country in June and November 2012.

Derrick has also held CEO and executive recruiter positions at DR Wright Associates and DR Wright Enterprises. As a pastor, he has served at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church, Hamilton Park United Methodist Church, Highland Hills UMC, New Horizon UMC, and the North Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church.

From his extensive experience, Derrick has developed expertise in motivational speaking, life coaching, insurance sales, entrepreneurship, ministry, and leadership. He teaches that the greatest joy in life is giving unconditional love and help to those in need.
