José Guridi is a highly accomplished professional with a background in engineering, technology policy, and academia. He currently serves as the Head of the Future and Social Adoption of Technology unit (FAST) at the Ministry of Economy, Development, and Tourism in Chile. He has previously worked as a consultant for Corfo Astroinformatics Program and as an AI Policy Affiliate at The Future Society. Guridi's areas of expertise include the governance and ethical use of technology, adoption of technological systems, and science, technology, and innovation institutions. He is a member of organizations such as the OECD Network of Experts on AI (ONE AI), fAIr LAC of the BID, and The Future Society. Guridi holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering with a Transport and Logistics. He has completed minors in Innovation, Media Communication, and Public Policy.
