Kelly Kline is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in municipal government and a focus on economic development, urban revitalization, and public-private partnerships. Having worked in Silicon Valley communities such as San Jose, Cupertino, and Fremont, Kline has played a key role in boosting employment, developing industries, and enhancing amenities for residents. Kline is a graduate of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard’s Kennedy School, and her specialties include economic development, redevelopment, public-private partnerships, and workforce development. Kline's extensive background in Redevelopment, Economic Development, and Smart City Innovation has earned her a position as Chief Economic Development and Land Use Officer at Mayor Sam Liccardo's Office. Previously, she worked as Economic Development Director and Chief Innovation Officer at the City of Fremont, Redevelopment/Economic Development Manager at the City of Cupertino, Downtown Manager at San Jose Redevelopment Agency, and Downtown Manager at the City of San Jose. Kline has studied Masters in Public Administration and Bachelors in Journalism and Political Science at San Jose State University.
