Sara Steffan is a skilled communicator with a passion for making technical concepts accessible to a broad audience. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master's in mass communication, both summa cum laude, from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She holds an impressive eight years of experience developing and implementing comprehensive communications strategies, change management initiatives, employee engagement efforts, and corporate website redesigns for companies in the engineering, science, and infrastructure industries. Sara has strong project management skills coupled with expertise in copyediting, public relations, press releases, graphic design, and website development.

In her most recent role as a Program Lead for Cybersecurity Awareness and Role-Based Training at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, she succeeded in developing and implementing long-term communications strategies critical to the organization's mission. As a public transit advocate, Sara also lobbies for open streets, car-free cities, and pedestrians' safety in Los Angeles.
