Ruth Hirsch is a certified Focusing Coach and Supervisor, Focusing Oriented Therapist, and Senior Focusing Trainer based in California. With over two decades of experience in the field of education and healing, her passion is to help clients and therapists find deeper meaning, connection, and peace in their lives and work. Ruth's extensive educational background includes a BA in Psychology from Bates College and the University of Stirling, an MSW in Social Welfare and Mental Health, and an MPH in Public Health, Maternal/Child Health from the University of California, Berkeley. Her focus is on the subconscious knowing and body-oriented process involving a shift of attention from the conscious understanding to the vaguer edge of thinking/feeling/sensing, resulting in an enhanced sense of aliveness, inner peace, and the ability to live more fulfilling lives for her clients. Ruth also trains therapists in using Focusing to deepen their work and help them attend to their personal needs for healing and growth while facilitating self-awareness, emotional healing, and spiritual growth in their clients.
