Sara Chipps, a JavaScript developer based in New York City, has been working in the software and open-source community for over two decades. She is currently an engineering manager for Flagship Infrastructure at LinkedIn and was the former Chief Technology Officer at The Flatiron School and Levo League. Chipps is also a co-founder of Jewelbots, a hardware company dedicated to boosting the participation of young girls in STEM fields, and helped establish the non-profit organization Girl Develop It, which has taught over 100,000 women how to code in 50 cities around the world. As a seasoned professional in the software industry, Chipps has served on the board of directors for the OpenJS Foundation and .NET Foundation and has held various leadership roles at Stack Overflow. She studied computer science at Penn State University before diving into the tech industry.
