Malcolm Ong is a highly successful product strategist, investor, and entrepreneur with expertise in Web3, blockchain, and crypto. He has held leadership positions in various organizations, including SCMP, Skillshare, Lyft, and 500 Global. At SCMP, Malcolm was the Senior VP of Product, responsible for overseeing the company's product and engineering teams during the news-media subsidiary of Alibaba's ownership transition. He also co-founded Skillshare and developed its platform as the CTO. Additionally, Malcolm has worked as a Venture Partner and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at 500 Global, Product Lead at OMGPOP, Senior Engineer at Razorfish, and E-commerce Specialist for IBM Global Services. He also co-filed four patents while working at IBM's Extreme Blue incubator. Malcolm has spoken at various conferences and events such as SXSW Interactive, CreativeMornings, and Google News Initiative on his interests, including product strategy and management, growth, and early-stage investing. Malcolm holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he also majored in Business Administration and minored in E-commerce.
