Caroline Ott is an experienced principal in the field of climate intelligence and global climate finance. With an economics background from Barnard College and a master's degree in international environment and resource policy and development economics from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, she has made significant contributions to the sector through her work at various organizations. Her role in RMI's climate intelligence program involves developing strategy and implementation measures. At the Global Climate Finance program, she initiated several critical initiatives, such as the Climate Finance Access Network, How to Retire Early: Making Accelerated Coal Phaseouts Feasible and Just, and the first America's Pledge report. In her previous role at the World Bank, she implemented a $50 million climate auction pilot, while at California Environmental Associates, she consulted for over 20 environmental nonprofits and foundations.
