Rina G. Patel is a writer, facilitator, and social entrepreneur whose ultimate goal is to help young people thrive in life. She has over 9 years of experience working with non-profit organizations and social enterprises to improve education, health, and economic conditions in underprivileged communities. In 2011, she founded Aahana, a non-profit whose mission is to provide tools and resources to youth living in rural areas. Patel lived in India for three years, where she worked with young women from the slums of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to understand how to tackle the world's most pressing issues, learning from politicians, activists, and educators along the way. She obtained her Bachelor's degree at Drexel University, studying Legal Studies, Marketing, Public Health, and International Area Studies. Additionally, Patel earned her Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Anthropology from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University. Today, Patel is the Founder and CEO of SHE, a company that is transforming the way young people engage with social issues. She has also held positions such as Founder in Residence at Antler and Global Mobility Sales Support & Innovation Analyst at SAP.
