Julie Jackson is a seasoned educator with almost two decades of experience in public schools. She currently serves as President for K-8 at Uncommon Schools, where she previously held various leadership roles, including Managing Director and Founding Elementary Principal. Julie's impressive career began as a Teach For America corps member where she taught mathematics to urban NJ students for 10 years, and since then, her outstanding leadership and commitment earned her multiple awards and recognition such as Teacher of the Year and the Peter Jennings Award for Civic Leadership, among others. She holds an M.Ed. in Educational Administration and a B.A. in Communications. Julie's dedication to education reform and equal opportunities for all students have led her to conduct national and international presentations on staff and student culture and leadership in several states, including New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Texas, South Africa, and China. Her vast expertise, skills, and interest in education, leadership, and public service make her a valuable asset to any organization that aims to improve the quality of education and empower underprivileged students.
