Yuan Shen
Yuan Shen, an associate professor at Tsinghua University, boasts an impressive academic and professional track record. Shen obtained his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2005, followed by a S.M. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Ph.D. in EECS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2008 and 2014, respectively. Prior to his appointment at Tsinghua, he worked as a research assistant and postdoctoral associate in the Lab for Information and Decision Systems at MIT. Shen's research interests include communication theory, statistical inference, and information theory, with a current focus on inference techniques, network localization and navigation, and resource allocation.
Shen has been recognized for his work with a number of prestigious awards, including the Marconi Society Young Scholar Award and the IEEE Communications Society Fred W. Ellersick Prize. He has also received three Best Paper Awards from IEEE conferences. Currently, Shen serves as an editor for IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, and Chinacom. He was elected to chair the IEEE Communications Society Radio Communications Committee from 2019-2020 and serves as a TPC track co-chair for IEEE ICC and Globecom.
