Elizabeth Weal is an accomplished writer, educator, and founder of Upward Scholars, an educational nonprofit located in Redwood City, California. Her experience spans from teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to designing curriculum, developing programs, serving as the Executive Director of Upward Scholars, and freelancing as a marketing communications writer for nonprofits. Her passion for education extends to writing as she has authored seven books for Spanish-speaking adult ESL students. Elizabeth studied at Northwestern University, and her expertise in writing and education led her to serve on the advisory board, and establish Upward Scholars. Her work also includes volunteering as a free-lance copywriter for nonprofits and being a former writer at Apple Computers.
