Sonia Szlyk

Sonia Szlyk is a board-certified anesthesiologist, consultant, and national lecturer with expertise in regional anesthesia, orthopedic value-based care, bundled payment, and ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks. She has an extensive educational background that includes an Anesthesiology Residency Program, an Anesthesia Business Group - Executive Management Program, a Doctor of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish. Sonia is committed to delivering the highest quality care, minimizing opioid use, and enabling success in the era of bundled payments. She is currently the Director of Regional Anesthesia at Capitol Anesthesia Associates at Surgical Specialty Center of Mid-Atlantic & Advanced Surgery Center of Bethesda. Previously, she held positions as the Director of Regional Anesthesia at NAPA, Mid-Atlantic Division at North American Partners in Anesthesia, Director of Regional Anesthesia at Advanced Surgery Center of Bethesda, and Faculty in the Department of Anesthesia at Stanford University Medical Center.
