Amy Krol, a small town girl from Eastern Oregon, has always been fascinated with the world beyond her hometown's cherry orchards. Krol worked summers managing Hispanic migrant workers before pursuing her dreams of international travel. She participated in a high school Rotary Youth Exchange and attended an APRU conference in China on entrepreneurship and innovation. Her passion for international studies led her to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon in International Development and Romance Languages. Krol is well-versed in Spanish, French, and Chinese and has a keen interdisciplinary view when it comes to local and global issues. Furthermore, she boasts an impressive professional background, ranging from an Outreach, Social Media, and Internship Coordinator at the Gabon-Oregon Transnational Research Center on Environment and Development to Energy Intake Specialist at Mid Columbia Community Action. Krol is a highly motivated individual and is currently the Engagement Lead for the Blue Zones Project at Sharecare. Krol's vision is to create a lasting legacy of sustainable practices, generational healing, and bridging the gap between poverty and privilege.
