Mike Eom is an accomplished professor of IS & OTM at the University of Portland, former President at AIS SIG LEAD, and an expert in Management Information Systems (MIS). He has a strong background in teaching, research, and industry-academic collaboration, and is dedicated to developing relevant programs and curricula, business outreach, and strategic alignment of IS. His expertise includes introductory/general MIS, database management, systems analysis & design, e-commerce, spreadsheet modeling, business intelligence, data mining, statistics, macro/micro economics, and healthcare informatics. Additionally, Mike is experienced in IT project management, knowledge management, organizational learning, and e-commerce strategy. He has a Ph.D. in MIS and an MBA in MIS and Finance from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and a Master of Arts in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Iowa State University. Mike continues to thrive in becoming an aspired teacher, practice-oriented researcher, caring mentor, and loving father & husband.
