As a remote Content Marketing Intern for 3 Birds Marketing, I gained experience in relating consumer data to content creation for marketing initiatives and to create a lasting emotional relationship between our clients' brands and targeted audiences. I ensured that all content, such as blogs, newsletters, email marketing campaigns, and thought leadership pieces, were ready to publish by editing any spelling or grammar errors, flagging content that was out-of-date, and creating SEO titles and descriptions using appropriate keywords. I managed and created content for social media sites based on industry research and competitive analysis. I also assisted in the development of a new re-categorization and re-classification system by arranging content in primary and secondary categories in order to maintain a highly organized content library.

I developed and designed the first weekly newsletter for The California Aggie, The Weekly Bit. I created a listserv from scratch and organically increased number of subscribers. I also created a strategic marketing approach through email marketing campaigns and social media in order to promote the online newspaper and improve readership. I efficiently achieved this by segmenting lists based on behaviors from past email engagement and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.). I measured results and optimized these segments in order to strategically choose and highlight each weeks’ top stories. I managed various email campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action, and content used in newsletter blurbs. I also collaborated with the graphics team to create a subscription graphic to promote on the website, newsletter, and social media.

In the Memory and Development lab, we study the development of episodic memory from early childhood to adolescence. Using behavioral and neuroimaging methods, our research examines typical and atypical development of the mechanisms underlying the ability to recall specific events about one’s own past. I assisted professors and graduate students conduct research on metacognitive and memory development in toddlers. This involved stimulus creation, testing subjects, recruiting families for studies, data management, and other tasks including: Stroop Test, PPVT,  eye tracking tasks, and transcribing and coding data.

As Philanthropy Chair I was responsible for developing a variety of activities to encourage and maintain DCPA’s philanthropy program through fundraising and service events. Cal Aggie Camp has been the philanthropic choice for DCPA for the past several years. I worked in collaboration with Cal Aggie Camp's Fundraising Chair to handle organization and implementation of charity components of their events.
