James Ong is a Seattle-based senior product manager who has made significant contributions to the technology industry over the years. Ong completed his Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington in Bioengineering and Finance. He later went on to earn an Accelerated B.Sc. (Hons) in Genetic Engineering (Synthetic Biology) from Nanyang Technological University.

Ong started his professional journey as a trader in emerging markets credit trading at Citigroup. He went on to work as a portfolio manager at Chandler Corporation before moving on to found his own company, BeWhimsy.
