Daniel Goodman is a highly skilled and experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for electronics and hardware. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he also completed his Master of Science in Media Arts and Sciences, specializing in sensor design, mechanical engineering, internet of things, aging in place, and agriculture. Daniel worked as a researcher/prototyper for the Open Agriculture Initiative and Food Computer Project at MIT Media Lab, developing open-source hardware for agricultural applications. He also interned at Apple and MakerBot, where he demonstrated his hands-on experience with electronics and hardware design. Daniel is Co-Founder at HAMAMA, an indoor gardening company that brings fresh greens to homes all year round.
Daniel is proficient in a wide range of software and hardware tools such as Solidworks, Sketchup, Altium Designer, Eagle PCB, Omax Make, 3D Printer Control, MATLAB, Python, Arduino, Processing, Mill, Lathe, ShopBot, Laser Cutter, Water Jet, Microcontrollers, Electronics, PCB Design, Sensors, Feedback, and Technical Consulting. He developed an interest in the internet of things, agriculture, smart cities, and feedback systems during his studies and research work. Daniel is an adept mechanical engineer with the technical expertise to develop hardware products that integrate seamlessly with digital tools and systems.
