Kate Shoesmith, the Deputy CEO of Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC), is an expert in the industry. She studied History at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and has a wealth of experience in various roles at both the REC and City & Guilds. With her team, Kate aims to help businesses, stakeholders, and individuals navigate the labour market, employment, and skills. As Director of Sales & Marketing, Head of Member Engagement, and Head of Policy & Public Affairs, she has honed her expertise in crafting and implementing business strategy, building partnerships and liaising with stakeholders, creating member engagement opportunities, and shaping public policy.
