Michael Trew is an Origami Artist and Director of Papershake Ltd, located in Hackney Wick, East London. With over 15 years of commercial experience, he has worked with numerous creative agencies for clients such as Liz Earle Beauty LTD, Harrods Magazine, and Yo!Sushi. Michael is passionate about making new and creative models of a high standard, and enjoys working to a brief within tight deadlines. He has also expressed his creativity in leading community music-making workshops across the South East of England and studying Japanese in Nagoya, Japan for 18 months.

Michael Trew has a Bachelor of Music from Canterbury Christ Church University, with a focus on Music Performance. He is proficient in reading and speaking Japanese after studying N2 proficiency at Trident College of Languages. At Papershake Ltd, Michael has worked on various creative projects, including a stop-frame animation for Channel 5 and an extended series of original models for international law firm Nabarro LLP. Michael is interested in combining the power of 3D/Generative modelling software with the ancient art of Origami.
