Bernard Louvat is a seasoned serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in SaaS Messaging for Ecommerce, AI & Robotics Software, Online Marketplace, Consumer Internet, and Retail. Bernard has had successful exits from various companies and has raised over $100 million in venture capital funding from Emergence Capital, Sierra Ventures, Morgan Stanley, idealab!, Redpoint Ventures, Partech, and many others. Bernard is the CEO and Founder of Tera, a sustainability ecommerce startup known for its innovative business practices. He's also served as the SVP & GM of Digital Transformation and Digital Customer Engagement at Nuance Communications, and as the Founder President & CEO at TouchCommerce, both software companies. Bernard has a strong background in online marketplaces as he previously co-founded Bizbuyer.com, which was later acquired by GE, and served as the General Manager at Citysearch.com, which was later acquired by Barry Diller IAC group. As an expert in entrepreneurship and retail, Bernard is a consultant at Bain & Company, where he hones his strategic thinking skills. Before that, Bernard followed his passion for beauty products, working as a Marketing Manager at Lancome UK, which is owned by L'Oreal, and gaining significant insight into the consumer industry. Bernard earned a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the prestigious Harvard Business School, and a BS in Business Administration and Management from HEC Paris.
