Developed and executed school-based marketing plans to overhaul the brand and increase student enrollment each year utilizing radio, print, TV, and social media. Directed community outreach and relations with Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE), Louisiana Charter School Association, Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO), Southern University and A&M College, and city and state government officials. Served as member of the Association Management Team, principal liaison to Southern University and A&M College, and council member on Southern University’s Pre-K – 16 Council.Major Contributions:Boosted community reputation and recruited 220+ new students (representing ~$2.2M in association revenue) within just seven months by re-branding charter schools and the overall Association, which included new names, logos, slogans, website, and student uniforms. Cultivated media contacts resulting in 31 positive print and 28 broadcast news stories in two years.Rebuilt the Association's reputation in the African American community by cultivating a systemic partnership with Southern University and A&M College on “Cradle to College” multimedia campaign, offering opportunities for professional development to teachers and college access to students. Spearheaded association’s annual communications and marketing budget of up to $125K.Created and executed marketing plan for TAP (The System for Teacher and Student Advancement) including radio, print, direct mail, and website (part of $13.3M Teacher Incentive Fund Grant.) Project managed first TAP Symposium for the Advance Baton Rouge Charter School Association.

Major Contributions:Developed and produced materials for targeted marketing campaign to introduce and inform parents, business leaders, and teachers about TAP utilizing print, radio, web, and video.Teamed up with the National Institute of Excellence in Teaching to develop $100K plan to market TAP including placement of two front page features and two editorials in the The Times Picayune. Guided dissemination of information during year-long CEO search, including management of press, school and community events, and advising Board Members during the selection process. Proactively served as on-staff photographer and website content manager. Ensured cross-functional communication of Readiness Emergency Preparedness Systems (REMS) between grant director, city leaders, area churches, and community at large.
