Vijay Jayaraman, an experienced operator in the tech-enabled IT and services industry, is making waves as the Vice President of Strategy at symplr, a leading provider of compliance and credentialing solutions for the healthcare industry. With a knack for growing and scaling businesses, Vijay brings his expertise to symplr, executing corporate initiatives and driving results across the organization.

Prior to his role at symplr, Vijay served as the Director and General Manager of the Bundled Payments business unit for Cerner Corporation's Health Network business group. In this position, he was responsible for shaping the strategy, incubating products and services, establishing strategic partnerships, managing client relationships, and overseeing sales and business development efforts. During his tenure at Cerner, Vijay was also a member of the Cerner Ventures team, reporting directly to the company's President and Senior Vice President. In this role, he successfully executed over $300 million worth of transactions, including complex divestitures, carve-outs, mergers and acquisitions, and allocation of organic R&D investments. Additionally, Vijay played a crucial role in the core corporate strategy team, tasked with preparing the company's long-term growth vision for presentation to the Board of Directors.

Before joining Cerner, Vijay gained valuable experience in the banking and consulting sectors. As a banker at Ziegler, he worked on healthcare investment banking, gaining expertise in financial transactions within the industry. He also worked as a management consultant with Pricewaterhousecoopers, focusing on operational improvement efforts, payer enterprise integrations, clinical strategy and design, and Medicare reimbursement calculations.

Vijay's educational background is equally impressive. He holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the prestigious University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was actively involved in the Healthcare and Private Equity & Venture Capital clubs. Additionally, he earned a Master's Degree in Health System and Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India.
