Ruth Mejias is a highly skilled and experienced social worker based in Urbana-Champaign. With a passion for helping people reach their potential and overcoming obstacles in their lives, she holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Trinity Christian College, a certificate in Infant Specialist from Erikson Institute, and a Master of Social Work in Community Mental Health from the University of Illinois.

Ruth has worked in various organizations, including the Illinois Department of Human Services as a Human Services Case Manager, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services as a Child Protective Specialist, and the HANA Center as a Social Worker. Throughout her career, she has also served at the Family Defense Center, Heartland Alliance, and YMCA/Sexual Assault Crisis Services in different managerial and case management roles.

Her focus on building bridges and changing systems puts her at a unique advantage to understand how obstacles restrict people from reaching their potential. She uses her expertise to help people overcome these systems' limitations and achieve success.
