Aakash Patel is an accomplished Biological Sciences graduate from the prestigious University of Newcastle, with a passion for studying microorganisms and investigating the origins of life. With a career spanning retail, hospitality, sales, and manual labor, Patel returned to his first love, science, and completed a first-class honours degree.

As a summer vacation scholarship holder, Patel studied antibiotic resistance, and worked on synthetic biology projects aimed at developing microbial systems for degrading toxic pollutants such as benzene and microplastics. Patel's laboratory skills in synthetic biology and molecular biology have been honed through his involvement in research projects as a team leader and production manager.
