Eve Lee, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor (Teaching) of German at the University of Southern California (USC). She has an extensive academic background in German literature, having earned her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Cincinnati and her Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1974. Dr. Lee has been teaching German for over 25 years at various universities, including her current position at USC, where she has been since 2011.12
Born in New York and raised in Munich, Germany, and Sweden, Dr. Lee is actively involved in the academic community. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Teachers of German and Alpha Mu Gamma, a foreign language honor society. Her research interests include post-World War II literature and exile literature, which she integrates into her teaching approach to create an engaging learning environment for her students.13
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Lee has contributed to course development and participated in various academic conferences, enhancing the German Studies Program at USC through initiatives like German Scrabble and Monopoly tournaments for students.1
