    Evan House is a proactive individual currently exploring new opportunities in the field of Software Engineering.

    With a background as a Manufacturing Engineer at Boman Precision Technologies, Evan has focused on enhancing the efficiency and performance of shop machinery to deliver high-precision products for reputable companies like HART Industrial Unions, Stanley Black & Decker, and Smith Medical.

    Evan holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, where he delved into Green Engineering, aligning his studies with his passion for environmental sustainability.

    His involvement in the Ocean Wave Energy Harvesting Team, with a project funded by the Department of Energy, allowed him to refine his skills in areas such as 3D modeling, finite element analysis, prototyping, testing, and technical report writing.

    During his academic journey, Evan also contributed to the Center for Energy Harvesting Materials and Systems, collaborating on the design and manufacture of wave energy converter prototypes.

    Beyond engineering, Evan was an active member of the Environmental Coalition at Virginia Tech and engaged as a radio show host at WUVT-FM Blacksburg, showcasing his diverse interests.

    Taking a hiatus from his professional life, Evan pursued long-distance hiking along the Appalachian Trail and toured the United States as a professional drummer, gaining valuable leadership, communication, and resilience skills along the way.

    With a unique blend of technical expertise and personal development from his adventures, Evan looks forward to applying his versatile skill set in his future professional endeavors.
