Eva Schmassmann

Eva Schmassmann is the Director of Platform Agenda 2030, a Swiss civil society organization focused on implementing the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Switzerland.23

As the head of the coordination office, Schmassmann is responsible for bringing together voices from Swiss civil society and ensuring their demands are heard by relevant stakeholders.2 She plays a key role in coordinating and managing the Swiss CSO (Civil Society Organization) platform, which consists of more than 50 organizations, associations, and societies working towards sustainable development goals.1

Schmassmann has been involved with Platform Agenda 2030 since its inception, having co-initiated the platform and guided its strategic development.4 Her work involves analyzing Switzerland's progress on sustainable development, participating in consultation processes, and advocating for more ambitious national strategies to meet the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).1
