Took it from seed to Series B. Not easy in Japan.

Tech stuff I'm proud of:

1. First versions of core systems

- Maps (our own end-to-end geofences, integrated with matching)
- Core Pricing
- Dynamic Questionnaire Flow (MeetsMore's main product)

2. Early dbt adoption in Japan. Saved us from data chaos.
3. Cut $1M+ in cloud costs. Capacity planning is underrated.
4. Solid observability and on-call. Sleep is nice.

Building the team:

- Hired ~15 top engineers (3 ex-CTOs)
- 100% close rate on people I wanted
- Ditched recruiters. Waste of money.
- Got to engineers hiring engineers. Much better.

Shipped fast. Broke nothing important. Solved interesting problems. Excited to do it again for my new company.

- designed and developed the Logiblock IDE - a browser-based cross-platform desktop application using Node.js, Backbone.js, and Backbone Marionette
- created a Kickstarter scraper and à la carte add-on system on an extremely short deadline (~3-4 days)
- set up entire scalable IT infrastructure, hosted on an AWS VPC

- designed and implemented a cross-platform C/C++ API for Luidia’s educational whiteboard - hardware
- created an emulator for Luidia’s hardware that made 90% of the previous QA tests completely automated, allowing QA to focus on higher-level testing
- convinced management and engineering team to switch to Git/Github from SVN, led engineering meetings, was offered promotion to team lead
