Eugene Lee

Eugene Lee is a highly accomplished creative professional with a background in set design, television production, and technology. Graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 1992 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design, he went on to work as a set designer for Saturday Night Live (SNL), where he stayed for over 20 years and won three Emmy Awards. During his tenure, he also acted as the show’s technical director and created the popular “Jumbotron” screen used in many of the sketches.
After leaving SNL in 2013, Lee became the Vice President of Production and Creative Director at NBCUniversal, where he oversaw the development of new entertainment technology and worked on projects for various NBCUniversal properties. He also serves as an adjunct professor of Industrial Design at RISD, where he teaches courses on product design, stage design, and digital media. In addition, he is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Visual Effects Society.
Throughout his career, Lee has demonstrated a keen eye for design and innovation, and his work has been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards, a D&AD Silver Pencil, and a Chrysler Award for Innovation in Design. He continues to inspire and educate new generations of designers and creatives, and his impact on the entertainment and tech industries is undeniable.
