Eugene Chan
Eugene Chan is the Chief Information Officer at PolicyLink, a national research and action institute advancing economic and social equity.12 He works closely with the communications and program teams to build a robust web infrastructure, develop a comprehensive database system, and support networks for the staff.1 Chan believes in using technology and media to foster greater inclusion and connection, especially among communities of color.1
Prior to his role at PolicyLink, which he has held since February 20133, Chan had several notable positions:

Chan also co-founded Grantsfire and served as a Steering Committee Member from January 2004 to January 2009.3 He has roots in community development and technology grantmaking, having served as a senior program officer at ZeroDivide, a $50 million initiative to close the digital divide in California.1
Eugene Chan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.2 He reports directly to Michael Mcafee, President and CEO of PolicyLink.2
Chan has participated in the Digital Campaigning Certificate Program offered by Social Movement Technologies, which he found immensely helpful in applying learnings to his daily communications and strategizing.4
