Esther Melo

Esther Melo is an accomplished professional with extensive expertise in the field of Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Industry. She holds a Teaching Certificate in Education and completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the Universitat de Barcelona. Her research focus has been on exploring regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, where she has studied the use of biomaterials and stem cells for skin repair and diabetic wound healing. Esther has also obtained a Postgraduate degree in Nutrition and dietetics and an MSc in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Industry from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Esther has gained valuable experience working at Roche Pharmaceuticals in the field of Business Development and Licensing. She has worked as a BD&L Manager for Neuroscience, Ophthalmology, and Rare Diseases, analyzing and developing partnerships in these domains. Esther's research contributions and professional experience led to her gaining positions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Roche, Visiting PhD Student at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, and UTMB.

Furthermore, Esther has experience as a Confocal Microscopy Technician at Centre de Medicina Regenerativa de Barcelona, a Cytogenetist at Laboratorios Dr. Echevarne and has provided teaching to students in Histological and Cytological Sample Preparation at Institut Bonanova.
