Erika O'Conor is a filmmaker, multi-media video/audio producer, and human-driven storyteller with a passion for sharing culturally specific stories. With a BA in International Relations and Film Production from Tufts University, as well as certificates in Chinese language and educational reform, O'Conor has a unique cross-cultural perspective that resonates in her work. She has also honed her skills by studying Beijing Opera at the Shanghai Theater Academy and Mandarin Chinese at the Capital University of Economics and Business.
O'Conor has worked with a range of cultural institutions, non-profits, and companies to create corporate videos, audio documentaries, and films. She was the director, producer, and editor for the Konovalenko: Stories in Stone Documentary, which explored the Ukrainian Baroque sculptor Mykola Konovalenko's life and legacy. Additionally, O'Conor has produced, directed, and edited various documentaries, such as the Pioneers and Aby Warburg Metamorphosis and Memory.
Besides, O'Conor has contributed to several organizations, including Volchan Productions LLC, Roundup River Ranch, smART Studio, and Black Cube, to name a few. She has worked on a film project with the renowned Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi and has also curtailed the Skydive Subtitled International Film Festival.
Throughout her professional journey, O'Conor has developed a broad range of skills, including video production, audio production, directing, producing, editing, script supervision, and translation. Her work expertise, along with her cross-cultural perspective, allows her to offer audiences universally compelling stories that connect them with different communities, cultures, and eras.
