Erik Muttersbach

Erik Muttersbach is a co-founder of Forto, a company that provides logistics and supply chain software.1 He served as Forto's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from 2015 until August 2023, when he transitioned to a board member role.13 Muttersbach is a serial entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience in building software and has founded multiple tech companies.2

Muttersbach holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich, as well as an Honours Degree in Technology Management from the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM).12 He co-founded Forto after leaving university, and under his leadership, the company grew to become Europe's leading digital freight forwarder.5

During his tenure at Forto, Muttersbach played a crucial role in:

2. Expanding the team to 900 employees across 21 offices in 8 countries3
3. Raising more than $600 million in funding3

In September 2023, Muttersbach stepped down from his executive role as CTO but continues to support Forto as a member of the board of directors.34 This decision was partly influenced by the birth of his daughter, Hugoline, in July 2023, as he wanted to focus more on his role as a father.5
