Erik Kleinsmith

Erik Kleinsmith is the Associate Vice President for Strategic Relations in Intelligence, National, Homeland, and Cyber Security at American Military University (AMU).

He has a rich background in intelligence and security-related training, analysis, counterintelligence, information operations, and tactical military operations.

Erik's significant contributions include pioneering asymmetric threat analysis using cutting-edge data mining technology and leading the Able Danger program prior to 9/11.

In his commercial role as a defense contractor, he developed intelligence training courses for the US Army and Intel Community, overseeing a large portfolio and substantial revenue.

Erik has been a key figure in public presentations, media features, and publications discussing intelligence matters. He is currently the vice-chairman of The Case Breakers, a group tackling cold cases.

As an executive at AMU, Erik is an author of intelligence and security-related articles and a book titled 'Intelligence Operations: Understanding Data, Tools, People, and Processes'. He is also working on new fiction and non-fiction books.

Erik's educational background includes a Master's in Intelligence Studies from American Military University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Purdue University.
