Erik Bertrand

Erik Bertrand is a seasoned technical lead with a wealth of experience in web and application development. He has worked in various industries, including healthcare, nonprofit, marketing, and public relations, and has been involved in cloud and SaaS projects. He is highly skilled in React, TypeScript, Python, PHP, Linux systems, and MySQL databases, and has a special focus on email technologies and standards.

Erik is known for his usability-focused, efficient, and intuitive processes and is experienced in all tiers of application development, including database schema and related objects, data access, and front-end development. He has worked with WordPress extensively, customizing processes for efficiency and intuitiveness.

Currently a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, Erik has worked for leading companies in the industry, such as Kronos and Northeast Delta Dental. His years of technical support experience have nurtured a strong customer focus, which drives his ability to design highly scalable, reliable, and customer-centric platforms.

Erik is also a keen adventurer and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and biking. He has successfully summited all 115 high peaks across Northeast US in the winter, and twice climbed the 100 highest peaks in New England during winter. When he is not coding or adventuring in the outdoors, Erik is also a classical singer, performing with small groups in and around the Boston area as a cantor with Night Song.

Erik received his BA in Computer Science from Saint Anselm College and completed his high school Diploma at Merrimack High School. He is a former Board Member of Convivium Musicum and senior technical support engineer at Keyfile, LaserData, icomxpress, among others. He led total website redesigns using WordPress, including the redesign of the NH Made website.
