Erich Rentz

Erich Rentz is a Director of Site Selection at US Solar, responsible for developing spatial data models and applying spatial analysis to support solar project development.

Prior to his current role, Erich worked at RSG, a transportation consulting firm, where he managed geospatial data, tools, and workflows to inform clients' strategy and planning.

His responsibilities at RSG included tasks like geocoding survey respondents and creating GIS tools for travel demand model inputs.

Erich holds a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Science from the University of Utah, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and History from Colgate University. He also possesses a GISP and Esri Desktop Certification.

Throughout his career, Erich has had roles such as Senior Analyst at Resource Systems Group, GIS Analyst at Smart Mobility, Conservation Technician at Henry's Fork Foundation, and Geographic Research Analyst at Tele Atlas (TomTom).
